'TASTE OF SCOTLAND' TOUR
A 5 Day touring programme, which can be flexible and is designed to explore a new part of Scotland each day. If
you're new to Scotland this is a great way of enjoying its varied landscapes and superb biking roads. Daily
mileages will vary and are usually between 120-250 miles. Remember, all can be extended quite easily if you wish to
be more adventurous. Day 5 is always planned for an earlier finish to allow for tour riders homeward journeys.
A Standard 'Taste of Scotland' Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Borders Monday
We will travel south to explore the Scottish Borders region, visiting the historic and busy Border towns, passing
through the quiet villages and traversing the hills, lochs and reservoirs. We will cross into Dumfries &
Galloway territory and enjoy the roads which could have been designed just for motorcycling.
Day 2 Trossachs Tuesday
An opportunity to discover some of the scenic areas to the north of Scotland's central belt. We will be passing
alongside deep water lochs and riding through the lowland glens with the hills towering above us on both sides.
Enjoy a coffee break on the loch side and enjoy the views and clean air.
Day 3 Argyll Wednesday
A fantastic run taking us west to the large sea lochs, visiting the picturesque towns on their shores and a short
ferry crossing. Some spectacular views and roads which will be unforgettable. A longer run with some single track
roads, but just so worthwhile. Don't forget the insect repellent - the Scottish Midge might be small but is
formidable!
Day 4 Highland Thursday
Another full day out, heading north and tackling the larger glens that include the main Scottish ski centres. If
you like mountain scenery then this run is not to be missed and you will be enjoying a full mix of roads, which
includes some of Scotland's best for bikes. If these superb roads don't blow your mind then the scenery will!
Day 5 Fife Friday
This will be our closing day, which you'll probably find will have come too soon! We will take an excursion over
the famous Forth Road Bridge into the Kingdom of Fife and ride a scenic route up the north east Fife coast, through
the quaint fishing villages to the busy town of St. Andrews - the home of golf.
