For the 2010 season, Motorcycle Tours Scotland are pleased to announce our partnership with Saltire Motorcycles for the supply of hire bikes. Saltire Motorcycles are an award winning Suzuki dealership based in central Edinburgh, meeting all the needs of a demanding motorcycling community via their wide ranging services, backed-up with personal customer care. Motorcycle Tours Scotland customers will enjoy priority service when being 'fitted-out' for their touring holiday. Although models from the full Suzuki range are available for hire, we recommend three models as being particularly suitable for touring. Hire contracts are direct with our partner dealer
Minimum age for hire of machine is only 21 years
Excess fee of £500 is required in advance and refunded upon safe return of motorcycle
Recommended Bikes
Ideal for touring, 650cc machines offering plenty of power and good economy for relaxed all day riding.
Tour rate for all machines £400
Bandit 650: Traditional Street type style. Low wide seat and relaxed riding position.
DL650: Adventure/Touring style but still with a low seat height and more upright riding position. Topbox can be fitted for an extra £25 for the week.
GSX650f: Sports Tourer but with bars fixed at a comfortable reach for a more forward, riding position. A full fairing offering a bit more wind protection.
